According to the decision made by Bharamashri Kanipayoor Krishnan Nambhoodri, the Old Velkumadam of the temple was replaced with newly one. The newly one was according to the rule of thaehushastra, It was made by wood and cotted by sculptural copper with lamps on it Not only this, the door frame and Sopanam of the Sreekovil was also coated with sculpture squr copper.
